To say I was the sole producer for this show would be a bit unfair...
Over a Meal was created by Adrien Marquet, Ry Guselle, and myself, and because we were such a small crew navigating what felt like such a big ship, we all overlapped in our roles now and again to help each other out.
Adrien's focus was on hosting the episodes and initial guest outreach, Ry's focus was on videography, and mine was on production (logistics, scheduling, location coordination, post-production oversight, and overall project management from planning through release).
This was an 8-episode YouTube series created to combine Toronto's film and food communities.
We invited various Toronto-based film directors to have a conversation with Adrien Marquet (also a film director), with each episode taking place at a unique restaurant in the city.
Over a Meal taught me how to produce on the go, in real-world environments rather than in controlled conditions.
From my end, the series required adaptability and quick problem-solving, and managing logistics while balancing the needs of restaurants, guests, and the crew, often in real time.
